Nechalacho starts delivery of rare earth raw materials

Published:2022-05-24

According to Canadian media reports, nechalacho rare earth mine in northwest Canada has begun to deliver raw materials. These raw materials will be transported to Haihe River by barge and then transported to the processing plant by railway. It is estimated that the first batch of goods will arrive locally as early as June.

In the processing plant, these raw materials will be delivered to the customer after finishing, and will eventually be separated and converted into metal rods in the customer's plant.

Nechalacho's production of rare earth raw materials began in June last year. It is planned to produce 25000 tons of rare earth concentrate every year by 25 years. At the same time, the company also reached an agreement with UCORE rare metals logistics company to transport raw materials as its agent.

"Canada has some of the world's most important rare earth reserves and known resources, and the reserves of rare earth oxides are expected to exceed 14 million tons in 2021," Canadian Press reported, referring to the Federal Department of natural resources.
